It was on the 25th of February, 1858; that
Bernadette heard the Lady says:"Would you mind going down on your
knees,...... .kissing the ground......for sinners?
Go drink at the spring and wash yourself there"
God our Father
it is through Mary
the most pure Virgin
that your Son has come to us
The Source of Living Water
help us to answer His call
in coming to purify ourselves
at the Source of grace
pouring from His heart
and we never thirsty again
if we come to you
and drink
the water
We come in memories of what Jesus said:
if anyone is thirsty let him come to Me and drink
the water that I shall give will become a spring dwelling up to eternal life
Hence it is here in this perspective that are given the deeper meaning symbol of the Lourdes water:
water is a sign of love of Christ who gives His life for sinners,
water is a sign of Baptism that has given to us as the children of God
water is a sign of the sacrament of reconciliation, in which God offers us forgiveness, purification, and reconciliation
We need to be reborn, purified, reconciled, and forgiven.We can have a very
deep emotionally and very wonderful pilgrimage with going to the baths.
The deep meaning ofthe Lourdes water is where the taps are located and
to wash our face and ask God to purify our heart.
