IT'S A LONG LONG JOURNEY

It's a long, long journey
Till I know where I'm supposed to be
It's a long, long journey
and I don't know if I can believe
When shadows fall and block my eyes
I am lost and know that I must hide
It's a long, long journey
Till I find my way home to You
Many days I've spent
Drifting on through empty shores
Wondering what's my purpose
Wondering how to make me strong
I know I will falter
I know I will cry
I know You'll be standing by my side
It's a long, long journey
And I need to be close to You
Sometimes it seems no one understands
I don't even know why
I do the things I do
When pride builds me up till I can't see my soul
Will You break down these walls and pull me through?
'Cause it's a long, long journey
Till I feel that I am worth the price
You paid for me on calvary
Beneath those stormy skies
When Satan mocks and friends turn to foes
It feels like everything is out to make me lose control
It's a long, long journey
Till I find my way home to You

FRENCH IS NOT BELONG TO YOU, IT'S BELONG TO GOD. SAID JOAN DE ARC TO CHARLES KING OF FRANCE JOAN WAS BURNT IN 1431 CANONIZED IN 1920 BY BENEDICT XV

Joan of Arc (1412– 30 May 1431) also known as "the Maid of Orleans," was a 15th century Catholic saint, and national heroine of France. A peasant girl born in Eastern France, Joan led the French army to several important victories during the Hundred Years' War, claiming divine guidance, and was indirectly responsible for the coronation of King Charles VII. She was captured by the English, tried by an ecclesiastical court and burned at the stake when she was nineteen years old.

"I am the true vine, and My Father is the Vine-dresser. Every branch in Me that bears no fruit He will take away; and every branch that bears fruit He will cleanse, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the Word I have spoken to you. Abide in Me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it remain on the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I AM THE VINE AND YOU ARE THE BRANCHES. He who abides in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; FOR WITHOUT ME YOU CAN DO NOTHING." John 15:1-5

God was standing by our side ,
and God is with us in our storms as well.
He may not necessarily send an angel.
We may not necessarily hear an audible voice.
But if we pay attention,
we can hear the still, small voice of God.
And certainly, He will speak to us through His Word.
We can reassure others that the Lord is in control.

A PRAYER

candles at St Mary Cathedral Jakarta

Lord,
this candle that I have lit
may it be light from You
to lighten my way
through difficulties and decisions

May it be from You
to burn up my selfishness , my pride
and all that is impure in me

May it be Flame from You
to warm my heart
and teach me
to love

THE SINNER WOMAN AND PHARISEAN

Posted by Picasa
suatu waktu
datanglah orang-orang Pharisi
ketengah masa
menyeret seorang perempuan
yang dikatakannya pelacur
Yesus melihat perempuan itu
Ia meletakkan tanganNya
pada dahi perempuan itu
menatap matanya dalam-dalam
dan berpaling kepada mereka -mereka
dan lama memandang mereka
kemudian Ia menunduk dan menulis
nama-nama-mereka
dan dosa mereka masing-masing
ketika Ia menulis
mereka beringsut mengundurkan diri
karena malu
sebelum selesai menulis
tinggallah perempuan itu
lalu Yesus menatap mata perempuan itu
"engkau terlalu banyak bercinta,
mereka yang menyeretmu hanya sedikit mempunyai cinta,
pergilah dalam damai"

hanya yang berdiri tegak dapat menopang yang tersandung

(Kahlil Gibran dalam Yesus Sang Anak Manusia)

IS MARY MAGDALENE THE ADULTEREES

Jesus with Mary (John 20:11-18), in a fresco painted by Fra Angelico in the convent of Saint Mark in Florence, between 1438 and 1446.
aku seorang perempuan
yang telah menceraikan jiwanya
mereka memanggilku perempuan sundal
dan seorang perempuan
yang memelihara 7 setan
hari itu matahari yang tenggelam dimataNya
telah membunuh naga dalam diriku
ketika fajar dimataNya menatap mataku
semua bintang di malam-malamku meredup
aku menjadi Maria dari Magdala
aku menjadi seorang perempuan
seorang perempuan
yang hilang dari dunia lama
dan menemukan diri di tempat yang baru
aku mohon kepadaNya
datanglah kerumahku
berbagi roti dan anggur
aku punya dupa
yang akan kubakar untuk Mu
dan bejana perak untuk membasuhMu
aku memohon dengan sangat kepadaMu
datanglah kerumahku

aku teringat tatkala Ia berjalan menempuh malam

COMPASSIONATE - THE GOOD SAMARITAN

The Christian Bible's Second Epistle to the Corinthians is but one place where God is spoken of as the "Father of compassion" and the "God of all comfort" (1.3). The life of Jesus embodies for Christians the very essence of compassion. Christ's example challenges Christians to forsake their own desires and to act compassionately towards others, particularly those in need or distress[7].
Jesus assures his listeners in the Sermon on the Mount that, "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy." In the parable of The Good Samaritan he holds up to his followers the ideal of compassionate conduct.
The heritage within Western Christendom of compassion as the principle of charity has resulted in recent times in the growth of remarkable charitable phenomena such as Oxfam, Médecins sans Frontières and Live Aid with global reach and budgets of millions of dollars. True Christian compassion, say the Gospels, should extend to all, even to the extent of loving one's enemies. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compassionate)

WHEN WE WERE YOUNG - CIKANYERE 1988

Posted by Picasa

He LORD is my shepherd;
I shall not want
He maketh me to lie down
in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters
Yea, though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me
in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

LONELINESS DRIVEN US TO RELATIONSHIP

AMSTERDAM CITY OF THOUSAND CANALS

perhaps
loneliness
is a human sensation
a human feeling
a human emotion
given to us
to drive us
into relationship
as hunger
driven us to food
in this sense
it is a beautiful gift
is an amazing grace
for without loneliness
to make us hurt
and then
by my loneliness
life opens to me again
( hendra , adopted from Loneliness , 2008 )

ON THE YARD IN THE FRONT OF ST BERNADETTE'S GRAVE (EMPTY). HER INCORRUPTIBLE BODY LIES INSIDE THE CHURCH
Only in love can I find You, my God.
In love the gates of my soul spring open,
allowing me to breath a new air of freedom
and forget my own petty self.
In love my whole being streams
forth out of the rigid confines
of narrowness and anxious self-assertion,
which make me a prisoner
of my own poverty and emptiness.
In love all the powers of my soul
flow out toward You, wanting never more to return,
but to lose themselves completely in You,
since by Your love
You are the inmost center of my heart,
closer to me than I am to myself.
